Everybody at the TPDL conference is wearing something to commemorate the fact that Delving is a sponsor. Looks like the next few days will be packed with quite a bit of learning, and seeing what everyone in this domain is up to.
Since we are a startup in the Cultural Heritage sector, we don't want to spend all our money on office chairs. Believe me, you can spend a lot on that kind of thing very easily (but we would rather save our money for the latest technology toys!). The price is right for these balls, because you can buy them for less than €15 at your local sports shop. They're actually for Pilates exercise.
I attended the Digital Humanities conference last week in Stanford. Most of the session dealt with tools or projects targeted on simplifying and supporting research in the humanities through the capabilities of technology. Focus was on natural language processing tools and geographic information systems.
